The original concept of the Sunset Harbour Marina Complex at Carlo Point, – 3 kilometres west of Rainbow Beach, was as a Yacht Charter Base and operated as such for many years, and also for a time used for Houseboats Hire to access the Great Sandy Straits around Fraser Island. Today, it operates as a base for Deep Sea Fishing Charter Boats and the Dolphin Ferry Cruise, plus a marina for Private Pleasure Boats.

The Skipper’s Bar has a refrigerated counter for all beers and wines making it easy to serve. Glasses are provided with hanging racks and chiller trays in the fridge. A Glass Washer and Double Bowl Sink make it easy for the bar staff. A mixer sound system is built-in with amplifier, speakers, etc and a DVD player with TV/Monitors. The Restaurant is ideal for functions such as Weddings with it’s unique natural surrounds.
